Missing persons cases going missing from the Charley Project

Over the last day, I’ve gotten a lot of emails and stuff asking what happened to August 10’s updates, which mysteriously disappeared. I checked and yup, they were gone. I had to re-post all of them.

According my host, the charleyproject.org domain is “migrating” to a different server right now. I have no idea what that means, but chances are this “migration” had something to do with my updates vanishing into an internet black hole like that.

Let me know if it happens again, m’kay?

(My visitor counter/stats thingamajig is messed up too. It claims the Charley Project only got 160 visits on August 10. Given that I average around seven thousand a day, that seems extremely unlikely.)

They disappeared like the people in the website.

You should not be a stand-up comic, Jose.

I did post here about the non loading cases, I wasn’t sure if I should post on the blog or email. If it happens again, or corrections or something, what would you like best? I don’t want to tie up your email, but I’m never sure if posting off topic on the blog is best. It was fixed quickly though…I am still confused as to why the updated cases came through and why the others didn’t. “Migration” I guess lol.

I have to say, I stumbled on your site learning about an unsolved murder in California……and I can’t stop crying! My god how many people, how many children, my god đŸ˜¦

I don’t have much as the way of funds go. However, I am like a hound dog when it comes to tracking people or information down.

If there is anything I maybe able to do to help the Charley Project, please let me know.

Greetings again from London, England. I’d love to see Jimmy Hoffa on The Charley Project. You said you’d consider putting him up. Any decision made on that? Also, how about the equally infamous sky-jacker ‘D.B Cooper’ (who actually called himself DAN Cooper, but we can assume that wasn’t his real name either). Both are internationally very famous M.P cases and both could still be alive. Well, I’d bet good money that J.H is definitely dead but D.B may not be. Both cases are definitely still solveable. Does old ‘Mr Cooper’ qualify for your site, by the way? Given that no-one is certain of his real identity… Is there anyone on The Charley Project like that? Would love to hear from you regarding these two missing people. Cheerio for now!

Oops, my bad (as you Americans say). I’ve just realised the error in my previous post. (This is what happens when you’re up surfing the Interweb at about 5 AM British time!). ‘D.B Cooper’ is technically not really a missing person. I mean, whoever he really was, he MAY have gone missing and been reported as such by his family and/or friends, but he’s a wanted criminal with a mysterious identity. That’s what he definitely is. But a missing person? Maybe not. So he doesn’t qualify for The Charley Project. Mind you, I have seen him listed on at least one other famous Missing Persons website…
