I didn’t update yesterday. Life intervened.
But I have posted the updates I meant to post yesterday, today. And it’s not even four a.m. yet, so I’m only a few hours late for the first of August.
Enjoy.

Every time I read Latisha Fraziers case I get mad about the whole not searching for her body thing…time and effort and rate of success…..sorry, if she was white and rich and etc, they’d kill themselves. Certainly it has been done before. And before anyone asks, I’m so white I’m clear. It just bugs me because I think they had a good chance.
Actually, I don’t think they would. They stopped looking for Andrew Compton’s body, and he’s a middle-class white kid. And for Latisha, I think they did look for a long time over a wide area, but you have to consider the cost, and the fact that everyone pleaded guilty (except the one dude who just got convicted and sentenced) without it.
They looked fo Jhessey Shockley’s body in a landfill for like, forever. And she was black.
Yeah, I’m sure there are exceptions. BUT I’ve heard far more about searches for white people than others. I don’t live fathoms from DC, and I have friends that live right there, and I never heard about Latisha. Meanwhile, there were others…the Braggs, Laci Peterson (yes, I know, but they started in landfills) and that Lori lady, can’t remember her last name, that I heard every day about. I don’t want to get into a justification battle, but it pisses me off to hear an official flat out say “well, we won’t even try”. They’ve found more in landfills by accident.
Lori Soares. I just think we all deserve to be at least attempted to be found if we are murdered and dumped in a bin. Just saying.
Lori Hacking, wasn’t it? The woman whose husband killed her after she finally found out he wasn’t in medical school?
Among other things. However, her family removed her married name from her stone, so I choose to honor that. Lori Hacking was also Lori Soares. I’m not sure that is the right spelling, but I feel if her family (and his agreed) to that, then the least I can do is talk about her as such. Though if you look her up it will still be under Mark Hackings name. Wonder how he’s doing now, he seemed a bit odd.
