On a regular basis I get emails, blog comments and Facebook messages from people who think they have information on some case or another — usually an unidentified body they think might be the MP. These messages are a waste of both my time and the sender’s because I am the not the police. As it says on the frontpage, the Charley Project is a publicity vehicle for missing persons cases. I do not investigate cases; I only provide information to help those who do.
Of course I appreciate people’s efforts to solve cases. That’s what the Charley Project is designed to help them do. But I am a civilian and I do not have the time, the resources, the authority or, frankly, the inclination to investigate tips. If you believe you have information that could help solve a missing persons case or any other crime, you need to contact the police, not the Charley Project. I’ve mentioned this several times and I’ve put it in my FAQ-that-no-one-ever-reads but the tips keep coming to me anyway so I thought I’d post a reminder.
Thank you.
According to the news, Kayla Chadwick’s remains have been found.

I don’t think they celebrate Tammy Lynn Leppert’s 30th anniversary of being missing, and she is more famous.
