So did I. Most of those people aren’t Charley cases though; some of them were but have since been found.

Shoot, I’m checking the cases you listed now. I don’ know whether to cheer cause they are on wiki or boo cause most of em could use the CP info. Some are not very well done. Just sayin’.

Surely someone else who reads this blog is a Wikipedia editor? I’ve only dabbled myself, and I’ve got a lot on my plate right now. I’m extremely depressed at the moment.

Oh honey, I’m so sorry. I love you :). Feel better soon and ignore my random comments. I’ll stop posting them now.

No, don’t apologize. In fact I probably would feel better if I actually accomplished something, even just expanding some Wikipedia entries. The other day I was lying in bed crying and I came out and started washing dishes and stopped crying after a bit, and cleaned up some more, then cheered up remarkably, well enough to have a good time with Michael when he came home from work.

And, as a personal aside, Chillingworths = Thomas and Jackie Hawks, and gawd, do I just not want to touch the ocean right now. I used to be afraid of sharks…now I’m just afraid of the human ones.

Er, WTH, Lisa Irwin? I hadn’t heard that, at all, anywhere. Also, why is it that CP has pictures of MPs and Wikipedia, which is argueably a larger audience reacher, does not? Goodness.

Meaghan, I can’t reply to your reply to me ( or at least my dumb ass can’t figure out how to without the button) but…….did you ever think that you are accomplishing something just by being? You have done amazing things for a lot of people ,, just by being you. And contributed so much. You have a fan club! What you do, you do, and you do it well. We ALL appreciate you. Cry if you have to and get back to your reading and updating and washing Michaels clothes, when you can. Other than that……..(I’ll leave it up to you).

PLEASE do an entry on the Springfield Three, Meaghan. I would love to hear your theories. So many of the cases are mind-boggling but my interest in this one has been renewed lately.

Personally, I’m not sure what to make of it. One of MY possible theories is that Suzie Streeter knew too much about something shady in Springfield and she was abducted, along with her mother and Stacy.
I believe that Stacy was just unlucky to be there when it all went down…wrong place, wrong time. Whoever took them didn’t want to leave any witnesses and that is why they took Stacy, too. And I also had the sense that for some reason, Stacy’s parents did not approve of her friendship with Suzie. They didn’t want her going to Suzie’s home but they had no problem with her spending the night at the homes of other friends.
I wonder why? Suzanne sounded like she was a sweet girl. She smoked cigarettes and had briefly dated a guy with a criminal record, but she wasn’t a bad influence or anything, not according to what I’ve read.

Suzie’s mom was also a very hard-working lady, a very kind person from what I’ve heard. Maybe some people looked down on them because Mrs. Levitt was a single parent twice divorced and because Suzie had some trouble in school. I don’t know.
They also lived in a lower income area, I believe. Stacy was college bound and planned to join a sorority while Suzie was going to stay in Springfield and attend beauty school.
I got the impression that Suzie was viewed as an outcast by some of the parents, based on one documentary I saw.
No disrespect to Mrs. McCall or anybody else related to this case, but I could pick up a somewhat snobby attitude toward Suzie and her mother, almost like some parents felt that their kids were too good to hang out with somebody like Suzie.

Maybe that’s just my perception, though. I wonder if the truth will ever come out about what happened in 1992.
