Tanya Kach goes to prom

Speak of the devil — just a few entries ago I was talking about how kidnap victims can go on to lead happy and productive lives. Well, Tanya Kach, who was kept captive (more or less) for a decade and is now engaged and about to attend a “second-chance prom” with her fiance, Karl McCrum.

The article says Tanya’s also reached out to the Cleveland girls. Also awesome. Go Tanya!

I’m sorry unless I missed part of that last article about Denise Sheehy there was nothing said about her being found. I’m a little confused. On the other hand, esp. lately that is nothing new for me.

The headline was kind of misleading.

Kind of, yeah. That would be great if she was found. I’m just grateful for those who have been found lately…another would be icing. Though I do recall a few cases where long term mps have just not done press or decided no contact with the families, so there is always that too. Just to be clear…..Karen Sterzl was found, Jacquie Waller was found (those poor kids), Denise Sheehy not found.

Lol, I got confused because of the title, I remember when jaycee was found terry(jaycees’s mom) there was a newspaper that said mother awaits reunion with daughter, so yeah.

Meaghan will you be updating today?

Dunno. Prolly not, but I don’t have definite plans to do something else tonight so I might.

i just watched the documentary about Tanya.i wish there was a way I could tell her not to pay attention to the doubters and tell her how courageous and amazing she is! I am appalled that her own father does not believe her. You can never judge what another person has been through until you have experienced the exact same things they have! I am happy to hear that she has found real love.
