I remember her

I, too, am an abduction survivor: the story of Alicia Kozakiewicz, a thirteen-year-old girl who was lured away from her home by an online predator who kept her captive in his dungeon and tortured and sexually abused her for four days before she was rescued. I remember when this happened, back in 2002.

This article from 2007 says Alicia (at least at the time the article was written) has large gaps in her memory now, even from the time before the abduction.

She’s grown into a beautiful woman. I hope she’s happy and has a good life now.

I’m trying to remember the name of a girl who several years was kidnapped and held by a pedophile for a couple of months and was finally rescued in a motel in Texas . The news media was all around to catch the scene of her being reunited with her mother.

If I recall, her name was Mendenhall, or Mullholland, or something like that – a long name that started with M, IIRC.

    Do you remember?

Welcome. Sorry to have gone on, and on, but I tend to post almost stream of thought…maybe I should be on twitter or something.

I think this is right, Steven Oliver was the pedo involved? Circumstances sound right, and I saw her on that special, she broke my heart, so many issues so many years later, but super brave to speak about her experience.
