An open letter to those people that keep emailing me with the subject heading “Organic SEO for Charleyproject.org”

In the past months I’ve gotten five emails with the subject heading “Organic SEO for Charleyproject.org” and I got two of those within the past few hours. They are all the same:

Hope you are well. As part of our client research, we came across your website “Charleyproject.org” and noticed your site is not ranking in the most important search engines like Google, Yahoo & Bing. I was wondering if you would be interested in search engine optimization services for your website at a very low cost.

No, I would not be interested in your search engine optimization services. My site already ranks just fine in the search engines.

Proper search engine optimization will increase your brand recognition, web traffic and grow your sales, which is why you a web site to begin with right?

What sales? I don’t sell anything.

We can promote your website to 1st page placement on Google, Yahoo, or Bing in three to six months guaranteed with our “National SEO” package. Three to six months is typical for all our SEO packages! So let me know if you would be interested or like me to mail you more details or schedule a call. We would love to work with you!

No, I am not interested and I would not love to work with you. Go away. Stop writing me.

I keep marking these as “spam” but they find their way into my inbox anyway. They’re almost as bad as those spammers who want me to review their self-published book on Amazon because I’ve got a lot of Amazon reviews.
