Albert Bomberger. Also, sigh…

Another ET entry: mass murderer Albert Bomberger, who slaughtered six members of a large North Dakota family and raped another of them, for which he was hanged in 1894.

And speaking of Executed Today, I’ve got somebody all upset with me now about another of the entries. Claiming that I wrote inaccurate things and didn’t bother to research the case and somehow made HER (the brother of one of the executed man’s victims) look “vengeful.” I know I’m in the right here: that Clarence Allen was a monster and I made that perfectly clear in my entry, that the two small not-terribly-important details she claims I got wrong are open to interpretation at the very least, and that she’s being way oversensitive. But, as per usual, I feel bad about it anyway. I hate hurting people, even accidentally. I hate it that my entry about Allen’s crimes upset his victim’s sister who has suffered so much already.
