Hello, my friend! I can see what you mean – I picked a name at random – Brian Kelvin Andrewin – and here’s what I found out: He disappeared on a Monday. Later that same week, there was the famous Chicago Heat Wave. And there is a Kevin Andrewin living in Chicago presently – brother? named after a missing uncle?

Just from looking and not clicking, some of these are fairly old (and, to be fair, rather biased race wise) and there will not be too many details ever simply because. Picking out names at random…lots of runaways, or classified so. That is very sad. A few I think were involved in drugs/gangs. Also sad. And more that should have more details but don’t. Families die out, or move, or move on. Hopefully some of these on the list will be solved. What really gets me is that there are a whole lot of perpetrators out there running around with no discovery…..

Andrew Brown may be doomed forever to obscurity by virtue of his name. Perhaps there are a few articles about him archived, but how to find them amongst the sea of Andrew Browns?

The ones like Dontray Hunter baffle me as he was only 13 months old. How does a baby disappear from a yard unless he was outside all by himself? Who lets a baby play unsupervised outside? Many of the others where there is such little info I think their parents or family had something to do with it. Lack of info many times means the family is not cooperating. Kids just do not vanish out of thin air.

    • orla July 2, 2013 / 10:11 pm

His little photo is so forlorn.

I think from what I have read his mother was the last person to see him in the yard or that general area but no further details than that. It was just sort of reported as something that happened and not as this is something that will be pursued by the police etc.

Regarding the Michael Mccool case, the kid in this pic looks about 8-10….but he is listed as being 14. That must have been an old picture. It boggles my mind why a family would not have any recent pictures of their kids.

    • Kim December 5, 2012 / 9:32 pm

I sense sarcasm but in almost all cases adult teeth are much bigger than baby teeth and usually spaced when they first come in. Look at Cesilia’s teeth and Michael’s. Anyways if that boy is 14 in that pic or within a year or 2 even I’ll eat my sock. Makes me wonder if the boy has been dead/missing for some time before he was actually reported missing.

      • Meaghan December 5, 2012 / 9:43 pm

        No sarcasm. Only puzzlement.

Probably it’s just not a current photo. For the longest time the NCMEC used a photo of Angelica Longoria at age 9-10 (she disappeared at 15) when more current pictures were available; I have no idea why.

And look at Jonathan Alexander Camacho: I have been unable to find any pics of him anywhere but he was definitely alive up until the day he disappeared. I suppose current pix of an identical twin are better than out of date pix of the actual person.

When I was fourteen I still had baby teeth. (Baby teeth are smaller and rounded; they are also uniform.) They finally had to surgically remove them as they were still stuck to the jawbone.

    • forthelost December 4, 2012 / 9:25 pm

I hate having my picture taken. At fourteen I’d been refusing school photographs for years.

Although from his height and weight I’d assume he was just young looking for his age.

    • Lauren December 4, 2012 / 10:59 pm

He does sound kind of on the underdeveloped side of things but boys at 14 are generally still pretty scrawny and kid-like. My guess on the picture is that the software programs they use to age progress missing kids requires a good enough photo to render a relatively usable image. The picture supplied may have been the clearest example of facial landmarks for the software to work. He disappeared over the summer so there were no new school pictures, so there’s that too.

      • Lauren December 7, 2012 / 5:07 pm

Well again, if the photos are a mismatch to the age- there’s generally a reason for it. Photos of the individual at their current age are not a good reflection of what they look like on a daily basis because they’re at weird angles, out of focus, etc. The family doesn’t have any either because they lack the resources or they’re just not a picture taking bunch. The aforementioned age progression software issue. It goes on forever. The problem I’ve encountered with missing person’s photos is that they’re not necessarily a true reflection of how this person looked day-to-day so often artist renderings and age progressions are a good effort but can harm the situation as well too.

      • Kim December 5, 2012 / 7:03 pm

Cesilia looks younger than 14 but she has her adult teeth in. Michael looks like his baby teeth are still in.

      • Meaghan December 5, 2012 / 7:07 pm

I didn’t realize there was a visual difference between baby teeth and adult teeth.

      • Kim December 5, 2012 / 1:58 am

His height and weight sounds normal for a teen boy but the pic looks 5 years old.

    • Kim December 5, 2012 / 7:11 pm

Wow sad. Thanks for the update. His sister said step-dad was a horrible man who sexually abused her :(. Apparantly mom died in 2009. I wonder if she knew about any of the abuse.

    • Meaghan December 5, 2012 / 3:41 pm

Hmm. This is quite substantive information. I believe it and I’m tempted to post it, even though postings on a public web board are not the most reliable. Since the stepfather is deceased and he isn’t named in this account, there’s minimal risk of defaming anyone if the info turns out to be false.

      • Mischa December 5, 2012 / 5:00 pm

The stepdad is named on websleuths.

      • Meaghan December 5, 2012 / 5:19 pm

Oh. Not in the part that I read. I haven’t read the whole thing yet.

  5. Amy December 7, 2012 / 12:51 pm

I fear that many of the above mentioned missing kids were actually killed and disposed of by family members, especially the missing children under 6. Of course, there are some children who were abducted (Elizabeth Gill comes to mind- but there is a lot of info on her.)

Prior to Adam Walsh’s disappearance and murder, how LE and the public dealt with missing children was all together different. We will never have more information on many of the kids you mentioned above and that saddens me to no end. The same with many of the UID infants listed on Doe and Namus.

  6. Amy December 7, 2012 / 1:25 pm

I hope against hope that these children were taken by someone who wanted to raise a child, such as Marx Barnes and the other little girl who found out she was abducted- her name escapes me..Carolita? I hope these children are still alive and have only been robbed of their true identity-

    George Barksdale
    Andrew Brown
    Consuela Cash
    Dontray Hunter
    Brandi Krajewski
    Mary Elizabeth Lozano
    Sherise Magee
    Lydia White
    Shelia Quinn
    Larry Krebbs

Two of the above cases that frustrate me the most are Charlotte Loomis and Catrina Jackson. With Charlotte, why isn’t there more information about her? She went supposedly missing from an AIRPORT. Was she seen there? Did she board a plane? Who dropped off her luggage? Did anyone remember seeing her when she was with her sister/brother in law?

Catrina was a pet case when I was Georgia AD for Doe. The Sylvania PD, at the time, were not very helpful. Haven’t tried in almost 10 years, but why isn’t there more info about her?

I’m going to try to research a few others for you!

    • Meaghan December 7, 2012 / 2:09 pm

I actually did find some more info on Catrina Jackson, but very minimal stuff — a bit more info on the clothing description, last seen leaving her sister’s house. The article I found said there was no suspicion of foul play.

    • forthelost December 16, 2012 / 9:49 pm

Marx was taken by his mother initially. They were found in some stranger’s house. Mom said Marx’s father was dead (and native Hawaiian, weirdly enough). Marx went to foster care where he was later adopted; Mom went to a mental hospital and vanished again from there.

I thought Marx’s dad had acted suspicious as hell, and I try to reserve judgement on these cases. But I’m positive none of the above was staged by him.

  7. Amy December 7, 2012 / 1:35 pm

Was about to send you something about Colleen Simpson- but realized the initial post was from YOU…lol.

Who happens to know any information on John Lango from Pottsville PA? I know this is a 25 year old disappearance case but regardless does anyone have any word on his whereabouts or if he was ever found/turned up? I’d like to know please and thanks.

    • Meaghan June 7, 2013 / 10:51 am

All I know is he’s still missing.

  10. Brandi September 29, 2014 / 1:17 am

I know I am brandi lee krajewski

    • Karen January 4, 2015 / 7:52 pm

      How do u know

    • Gemma Nye November 4, 2015 / 9:06 pm

Yes Brandi, How do you know? Brandi Lee Krajewski is the little sister of my two stepsisters, and those sisters also have two brothers who are looking for their sister. I remember the day my step sisters received the phone call that their sister was missing, like it was yesterday, and I was only 8 years old at the time. Those blood curdling screams will never leave my memory. I really wish you were Brandi.
