Good news, I think, maybe

I have on Kerry Lynelle Johnson‘s casefile that the cops have lost her dental records and lost touch with her family, which makes her body well nigh impossible to identify if she’s a Jane Doe somewhere. Well, Kerry’s NCMEC poster now has a new picture of her and some additional information about her disappearance.

I’m thinking the police are back in touch with her family.

Hi there, random question that has nothing to do with this topic…was reading the update on Tammy Hill. Did she have her last child in 1994 as opposed to 1995? Casefile says she is missing May 1995, but drs noticed developing cervical cancer in Dec. 1995. Typo I guess?

      Yeah, typo. I’ll fix it.

    Meaghan,

Kerry’s NamUs profile now states that investigators have her DNA profile so I think you are correct.

There is a bit more information about Kerry Johnson in this Statesman Journal article.

She called her family from San Jose and said she was on her way home to Salem and would be there by October 1st. Kerry’s dad is Robert Johnson, and it sounds like her case was never investigated with any intensity. That was typical for the early ‘80’s nation wide.

“Throughout the years, Robert Johnson said, has watched his daughter’s file get passed from police officer to police officer but nothing new has come to light. Each time he’s told that maybe the new officer will have new insight or ideas how to find her but so far there has been nothing.”

BTW Dena Rush, the missing child advocate who pretty much single handily resurrected the case of Joan Hall, has a mySpace and Facebook page for Kerry
