Good for you! Doesn’t it feel great to accomplish a big job? 🙂

Random thought: Since one in three Americans is now classified as ‘obese’, don’t you think it strange that every single age-progression that is done shows the missing as normal weight?

Perhaps the NCMEC doesn’t want angry parents demanding to know “why do you think my kid looks like a fatass now?”

In a similar vein, I have noticed that, of all the Muslim girls on the NCMEC that have APs, I think there’s one with the AP showing the girl wearing the veil. That is, this one: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/q/quariishi_soomaiiah.html And ironically, I’m not even sure if Soomaiiah is Muslim, since it says she might be attending a convent school.

How does a 7 year old flee the country on her own? My daughter is 7 and she would not know the first thing on flying by herself nor does she even have a passport. VERY scary. Do auth. think she was kidnapped or that she ran away?

Probably it was a family abduction type case.

I never thought of that. I wonder, are there some AP pics of people that were already very overweight when they vanished? Did they stay fat in their AP? Or what?

I checked over the NCMEC website to investigate this. The first thing I noticed was that, since the photos and APs are head-and-shoulders or sometimes just head, it’s difficult or impossible to tell whether the person is overweight or not. Unless a person is extremely obese, like more than 100 pounds overweight, their face tends to look like anyone else’s. I found one girl who (at 4’3 and 130 pounds) had to be 40-50 pounds overweight at least, but she looked quite average in the photo, which only showed her face and neck. So I don’t think there was any special effort made by the NCMEC to “slim down” people for their AP photographs. They didn’t have to.

Note to self: Do not live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I don’t think they have any more disappearances per capita than any other American city. It’s just that the police, unlike most cities, put all those disappearances on the internet.

Tulsa can be a pretty rough town, and police corruption is common there and in Oklahoma in general.
It’d be very interesting to find out the disappearances per capita in some cities.
