Another purge

The NCMEC’s notification system is not perfect, and I don’t always hear about it when someone is found. I know I must have quite a few runaway cases on Charley that have been solved. So I’ve decided to start purging: I’m going to run all my runaways through their system, and anyone who doesn’t show up is going to be taken off unless I know for a fact that they are still missing.

Can you set your computer to do that automatically or do you need to check each one?

I have to check them manually, alas.

And man, am I finding a lot of them. When was the last time I cleaned house? Jeezus.

Nice! So we should be expecting many many Resolved Cases, correct?

No, I’m just going to remove the casefiles. It’s not practical to put up *ahem* 160 resolved notices at once, especially when I have no idea when or under what circumstances these kids were located.

I hear ya. Jeez, that’s a lot of casefiles!

Its too bad they don’t have a system where it sends you an automatic notice anytime somebody is removed from their missing lists.

They do have such a system. The problem is, I don’t know, it has bugs in it or something. I don’t always get the notice.

I’ll google the person’s name first to see if there was a recovery notice I missed.
