Solomon Rose article

I was sent this article about the April 1, 1972 disappeared of Solomon Rose from Baltimore. He was three years old and vanished in broad daylight from a shopping center, presumably abducted. The article doesn’t provide any new information that I can see, but as I always say, it’s good that he got some publicity after forty years. I have very little info on his disappearance and only one, not very good quality, photograph.

Since he was missing from shopping center in the daylight…it makes me wonder how come that no one around noticed anything or anyone suspicious.

Maybe someone did. I don’t have any information one way or another.

Adam Walsh also disappeared from a Sears store – after the guard threw him and some other kids out of the store and apparently no one noticed anything happening then either. People really just weren’t as aware of missing child issues back then. I was raised in Great Britain (in the mid 50’s) and people there often left their babies outside the shops in their prams while they shopped inside, without giving it a second thought — they certainly wouldn’t do anything like that now!

Yeah, they have cameras now etc…must’ve been a different situation 30 years ago.

If the photo that got shown around at the time Solomon went missing is the same crummy one that you found, I’m not sure anybody would be able to connect the pic with any kid they might have seen at the store.

Probably they had a better one that’s been lost since then. The pic that’s available now looks like it was scanned from an old newspaper.
