What happened?!

I got word from the NCMEC that Eowynne Anderson has been found deceased. She was three years old when her mother abducted her and her sister, Gisselle (then 10) and brother, Giovanni (then 7) from Lynwood, Washington in 2004. No word on the well-being of the other children.

I looked online for more info but found only the following message on the dad’s MySpace page, dated January 24: “How do you mourn for a child that died long ago but only now found out they are gone???????????”

What happened? Was it an accident? Natural causes? Something that could have been prevented if she hadn’t been missing? When did she die? What happened to you, Eowynne?

She would have been twelve years old next month.

One of the sites said that the children may have been using the last name san miguel. I’m still searching for info under both names for cod.

My heart breaks for this man. I wish nothing but hell for the woman, and the rest of this reply will be directed at the non-custodial mom. I don’t care how pissed off you were at some perceived slight by your ex — you shouldn’t be using your children as pawns in this chess game-like conflict you’ve got with your dad. Unless you step forward right now, beg forgiveness, reunite the two surviving children with their father, and try to make amends, you will never deserve anything good in your life, ever.

OMG how awful. So if they have info the child is dead do they have enough info to catch mom?? HOW terrible. This little girl died and who knows what lies mom told her about Dad. Please post more info when you have it.

I am so sorry to hear this. Her case reminds me of Diana Alagha’s, who was abducted by her worthless mother in ’94 as a toddler, died of “natural causes” sometime later in Mexico and the left-behind father and the rest of the world found out only a few years back. I wonder how her family is doing and if her death was further investigated. RIP Eowynne and I hope that Giovanni and Gisselle are found safe.

      Sorry, I meant ’96.

Specifically, she had a broken arm. Since they were in hiding, she wasn’t taken to a doctor and it was set badly. The bone became infected and she died of that.

I literally howled in pain when I got that email. This is too much.

Now that was horrid what the mother did to that father and child. 😦
Talk about an opened and shut case of “if I can’t have my child then he can’t either.”

I remember that story but forgot her name. I had the same reaction. What a selfish bitch that mother was, concerned only with her own skin at the expense of her child. What happened to those douchebags, anyone know? How can you put a child through that kind of suffering.
As for Eowynne, sometimes these tragic things just happen but we may never know why.

It seems to me that Diana’s mom was guilty of criminally negligent homicide, or child neglect at the very least.

      • Celeste March 8, 2012 / 1:32 am

Agreed Meaghan. There’s kidnapping, deprivation of parental rights of Diana’s father, illeagally transporting a minor across state lines, and that’s just a little bit of a sample of all of the things that Diana’s mother could be charged with. 😦

One of the very worst examples of this was a case on “Unsolved Mysteries”. Mother kidnaps son and flees to France, father tracks them down years later, only to discover that his son died of leukemia and his ex-wife never bothered to tell him.

I wonder if this is an opened and shut case of “if I can’t have have the kids then he can’t have them either?”?

    • Meaghan March 6, 2012 / 4:19 pm

That’s often the reason why a parent abducts their own child.

How sad, such a pretty little girl.

Diana was in Mexico at the time, but she was not in some podunk village in the middle of nowhere; she was in one of the country’s largest cities.

As far as I know her mother never faced any charges in Mexico, and Mexico almost never deports citizens for child abduction, so she got away with it.

what a shame. if anything she’s guilty of criminal negligence causing death. Not long ago a young woman here was sentenced to 11 years. Her son was injured and instead of calling the hospital, she put ointment on him and went out shopping. He died.
