Ripped apart

I found this Seattle News article about the bias against fathers in family court when it comes to getting visitation/custody of their kids, and with domestic violence issues. It’s not about missing children or family abduction, but I think it’s relevant to post on here because the case studies described therein are at risk for a family abduction happening. It’s a long article, but well worth the read.

Back in the 60’s, my father was the first man in the state of Indiana granted full custody of his children. It was only granted because my grandmother lived down the street and was involved.
The school actually hired a psychologist to probe our little brains to see how we were ‘coping’ with living with our dad.
Dad eventually raised his five daughters – me being the oldest. To this day, I do not have the ‘girlie’ gene 🙂

They need to move to the State of Georgia. I know a Police Officer who not only Physically and Verbally abused his wife, got arrested for it, got fired and while the wife was in the Hospital went to court, got temporary custody, then permanent custody of the children. THEN he got hired as a Police Officer again, in another town. A family member paid $$$$$ to have his record expunged. Yep, move to Georgia where they allow vermin to get custody. He had previous issues as well, such as viewing porn while on duty and anger management issues.

Men are often seen as just an ATM for moms. The law wants to give a man and presumed father NO righs at all during the pregnancy…but want him to pay up and support kid with sometimes minimal visitation.Judges need to be harder on mothers who cheat and commit paternity fraud. Many many men out there are paying support for kids that are not theirs. Joint custody should automatically b e given unless mom can prove without a doubt she has been physcially abused or that Dad is totally unfit. these men often to not abuse their kids…so a father should always be able to see his kids even if it is under supervised visits. Women often file bogus RO’s as a custody and housing ploy. Couples should automatically be forced to see a mediator to work something out for support and visits. Out of state moves by custodial parent should not be allowed unless other parent totally agrees. I wish judges would put a stop to all the nonsense that bitter divorced couples pull in the court room. I think attorneys make it worse.
