Merry Christmas Eve

Today I am thinking of all the families of missing people out there — this upcoming holiday must be a particularly difficult one for them. But maybe some of those aforementioned MPs will call home. After all, Theodore Szal, a presumed victim of John Wayne Gacy, has just turned up alive, well and kind of confused and surprised that his family had assumed he was dead. For that family, anyway, Christmas came early.

Returning your wishes for a happy holiday season. I think we also have to consider the family of the Indonesian girl who just turned up alive after having been swept away in the tsunami seven years ago to be among the early gift recipients as well.

And sorry to end on a downer…but is Charley’s search feature ever going to be fixed? Still getting Google’s “automated queries” denial page when I try to use it.

I still don’t know what’s going one with the search thing. It works for some people but not for others.

However, there is another way. If you go to regular google.com and type in the phrase “site:www.charleyproject.org” and then your search term, it will return results only from the charleyproject domain.

I thought of the Indonesian girl when I wrote the above entry but her family are probably not Christians (I think Indonesia is mostly Muslims) so this wouldn’t really be an “early Christmas” for them.
