I found this anniversary article about the still-unsolved murder of four-year-old Jameika Porch, who was once profiled on the MPCCN. She was abducted from her grandmother’s home in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the middle of the night on August 14, 1994. She had been sleeping in the same bed as her eight-year-old cousin when someone came in and carried her out through the window, without waking her cousin. It wasn’t until five years later, in October 1999, that Jameika’s remains were found in an industrial park, and even then they weren’t identified until April 2000. She had been strangled.
From the sound of the article it sounds like the police don’t know much more than they did eleven years ago.
Awful, just awful…
Though not related directly…I’m also thinking about that Carla Rebecca Corley’s case.
She was gang-raped and disappeared and I have no doubt that those two things are connected somehow, yet thirty years there’s still no body or any suspects or anything.
Unbelievable. .
The police probably have suspects. Just because their suspects haven’t been publicly named doesn’t mean they don’t exist. A lot of times there’s cases I hear absolutely nothing about in the press for ages, then suddenly the cops go and arrest five people or whatever. They were quietly chipping away at it in the background all along.
I remember this. When she was just missing, I’d get people to say to me in a very suspicious way, that my daughter looked lime jermika…
It’s sad that nothing was ever done.
I just Googled her name because as I watch the highlights of tonight’s news…authorities are wanting any information about someone putting a dog in a garbage bag and dumping his remains in a trash can….
But yet no one is doing or say I g anything about this little angel’s body dumped on the side of the road. Sorry, it pissed me off….
Hope whoever did this is rotting in their own he’ll..
