My blog gets subpoenaed

WordPress sent a notice telling me a district attorney’s office out west has subpoenaed them about this blog. Months ago, I wrote an entry about a certain criminal case. A commenter, a stranger, posted saying they knew one of the parties involved. Now the DA has found it and subpoenaed WordPress for that commenter’s account information (IP address, etc). Unless I file a motion to quash the subpoena, WordPress is handing the info over.

At first WordPress made it sound like the DA wanted MY information, which made no sense, and made me feel kind of uncomfortable. Then they corrected themselves: they just want the commenter’s info.
