I found this article about Kevin Hicks, a sixteen-year-old boy who disappeared from the town of Croyden in Surrey, England back in March 1986. The article says his grandmother is still alive at 89 and still looking. His parents are dead. Mom died of a brain tumor in 1994, according to this article, and a comment on this blog entry says Dad died in 2004. There’s another article that talks about his younger sister, who now has kids that are older than Kevin was when he disappeared.
It looks like Kevin just vanished without a trace. He was apparently happy at the time of his disappearance and didn’t have any personal problems. He went out to a local convenience store to get eggs, and just disappeared. There’s no indication as to whether it was foul play, or an accident, or what.
