Jamie Michelle Fraley was missing for three years on April 8.
Included in her casefile is the story of how the prime suspect in her disappearance met his death. Normally I would think it too far removed to be included, but the story was so wonderful I couldn’t resist. The guy was an abusive, violent stalker type. He climbed into his ex-girlfriend’s car’s trunk, apparently with the intent of ambushing her, but he got stuck in there and died of heat stroke. Impaled on his own sword, so to speak. And his ex-girlfriend drove around for several days without realizing he was in the trunk.
I reckon she must have freaked when she found him. I mean, anyone would freak to find a mysterious dead body in the trunk, but imagine her call to the cops: “My ex-boyfriend’s, um, dead body is in the trunk of my car. And I have no idea how it got there. Honest…”
Unfortunately, whatever he knew about Jamie’s disappearance, he took to the grave with him.

Wasn’t that case vaguely connected to another one in the same area? Like they knew the same people or something. Rats. Um, Stephanie something, I think. She was married and her husband was deployed or something and she left her parents house and disappeared? I think I’m getting confused, need to look some stuff up.

hi i just finished watching i.d disapeared on amazon prime and i had a few questions of things that i thought were missed . they say jaime was sick the day before and was known to be around ricky sr it sounds to me either rick sr or ricky srs jealous x girlfriend which had jaime watch her dog xould have poisend jaime or put who knows in her food or drink and thats why she was sick ??? sounds even more obvious when rick sr took jaime to te hospital and then when jaime called hom he didnt awnser! maybe he didnt awnser because he might have thought that the dra did a blood test or any test that would have told jaime that she was poisend or given certain drugs and he knew she would have known it was him and didnt dare to awnser her call and lie to her . then on the show it says jaimes mom noticed that jaime had noticabley gotten sick on her bed or in her room why didnt they take samples of the puke to see if their were any poison or drugs in her system which could crack the case way open say if rick sr or rick sr girlfriend was taking a sleeping medicine or who knows and they found that in jaimes stomach was large amounts of one of their medicines then they would be that mich closer. i really hope they did take samples of the puke so they can test it if thwy havnt all ready ? they show just kept passing it off as she had the flue and sounded like they never looked down that avenue at all that she had been poisioned or given medicine to make her messed up but instead made her really really sick . ive had the flue and if she felt like she knew their was some thing more then just the flue she should know the difference and the hospital probably never even took blood samples or did what ever teat they could have for poisioning . maybe when she got home from the hospital for the last time the drugs or poison was getting full affect and she left the house not even knowing what was goig on or eiter rick sr or rick srs x girlfriend was getting worried that if ahe kept going to the hospital they would eventully do a blood test and would then find out they had posioned her and didnt want that to happen . this is all specalation and my thoughts but i really think if they havnt checked that avenue ans they have samplea of when she got sick in her apartment they ahould definitly test it . i am very sory for the family and friends for their loss and the shows on disappeared are all very sad . i wish they all could be solved when i warched the show and read other articles online i never once herd any one state that they ever looked into jaime being poisoned they juat say she had the flue which is way too fishy to me when shes missing the next day . i hope to hear more info on my suggestion .
From what I recall, The Charley Project entry for Jamie says that her phone was found and it was discovered that after she’d gone missing some calls had been made from it, using the list of ‘Recently Dialled’ numbers, but that these calls had nothing to do with her disappearance. But I don’t understand. How could it have been decided that these calls had no connection to Jamie’s disappearance? Who made these final calls from her phone and why?
No clue. Perhaps someone else, someone who had nothing to do with Jamie’s disappearance, found the phone and used it.
Ok. Thanks for your reply. It just seems so strange that someone would call some numbers from Jamie’s phone that I guess Jamie herself had previously called. Who did that? And why? And did they speak to anyone they called from Jamie’s phone (people she probably knew or had SOME connection to)? Or did the caller just hang up after dialling and not actually speak to the people whose numbers were called very shortly before the phone was found? Mysterious indeed. (You don’t need to reply to these questions Meaghan. I know how busy you are and I’m sure you’d have told us by now if you knew). We shall probably remain clueless. Oh well. Keep up the good work.
