Article about Salena Tackett

Someone sent me this Tennesseean article my way, which gives some more information on the mysterious 2003 disappearance of new wife and mother of two Salena Tackett. She had been married for all of a week when she apparently got up in the middle of the night and decamped for parts unknown, never to be seen again. She left behind two kids, one of whom was only three. I wonder who’s taking care of them now. Salena’s mother died after her disappearance. No one seems to know where her husband is now.

The police seem to think she met with foul play, but there isn’t a lot of evidence there. I don’t even have a height or weight for this woman.

Another one who gets away with murdering his wife. Disgusting!

Um … the guy’s never even been charged, right?

I am sorry to piggy back this remark on this site but I could find no pathway to post an original entry.
The point is that I am supposedly missing and I have never been missing a day from anywhere. The local Police have not been able to help me establish a thing with the charley project people. They seem utterly unreachableby phone, e-mail or any other means. If anyone can help in this, then you have my thanks well in advance of doing anything. Michael Folkes.//

How odd that I never got any of your emails.

had been married only a week…said he fell asleep with their small child and when he woke up later, his wife was missing, along with a large sum of money…neighbors say Tyrone and Salena had a troubled relationship…Salena’s family says she was afraid for her life in the days prior to her disappearance…yeah, smells like another husband got away with murder to me…just cuz he hasen’t been charged & managed to hide the body well does not mean he’s not guilty…men erase women out of their wives like this everyday…wake up & turn on your tv once in awhile!

You got a real nice intelligent way of expressing yourself, Tracey. Scumbag this and hang ’em high that.
I’m sure glad I’m not accused of anything with you on my jury.

Tracey, I’ve been lurking on this site for years now, but your comments have made me speak up.

I hope they find out that something else happened – she was kidnapped, or she ran off with some other guy, or something – just to prove your arrogant, all-knowing rear end wrong. Smells like he got away with murder to you? That’s funny, that’s not what it smells like to me. You have NO proof that’s what happened, yet you seem to have no problem passing off what you want to think happened as proof. If you can come back and give us anything other than conjecture, then I’ll rescind everything I said.

I doubt you’ll be able to, though.

Here’s what you can do-go to, type in either Tyrone Tackett or Selana Tackett and a whole lot of stuff will pop up. Check it out.

        Her name is spelled Salena

And with your let em all go attitude, I wouldn’t be surprised if you had murderers in your very own family you support with your criminal loving attitude. Lose a loved one to murder & tell me you wouldn’t feel differently. Meanwhile, I’m entitled to my opinions. And yes – murderers deserve to DIE – every single last one of them – and I would sign up to be executioner myself if I could.
NO 2ND CHANCES FOR SEX OFFENDERS, RAPISTS, MURDERERS OR ANY OTHER VIOLENT OFFENDERS! The 2nd time around may be your child or loved one. ENFORCE THE DEATH PENALTY! If the thought of losing your freedom or life isn’t enough to deter criminals, let them die for their heinous crimes against the innocent.

“Victims have a dignitary interest in justice & vindication without interminable delay caused by guilty prisoners attempts to stave off punishment.”

“Too much mercy, often resulted in further crimes which were fatal to innocent victims who need not have been victims if justice had been put first and mercy second.” – Agatha Christie

I knew them both, Tracey, and you are right. It is now Sept. 2011 and they have finally arrested that s.o.b for conspiring to kill Selana. I worked for him and everything they say about him is true-he is a crook and now he can add murder to his resume. Selana would not have left her children without any contact. She definetly would not have let Tyrone have Grace. I hope now they can find out what he did to her, so her children will know without a doubt that she did not abandon them.

That just shows how well you pay attention. I do not have a let em go attitude. I don’t believe in second chances for most criminals.
What I do believe in is the American concept of fair trial, and the very important one about innocent until proven guilty.
You have a right to your opinion. So do I. What you don’t have any right to do is to decide that I have murderers in my family that I support or that I am a criminal lover.
Nobody in my family has ever killed anybody or raped or stolen or hurt anybody. None of them. To have you say that that must be so just because I still believe in the Bill of Rights is ridiculous and hurtful.
Would you like for me to say terrible things about your family who I don’t even know?
No I don’t think you would.
Would you think it was just dessert if somebody thought you had done something wrong, anything, and decided you had to of done it, and that they didn’t even need to look closer at the evidence b/c you must be guilty b/c it seems likely? And decided nothing anybody or you ever said or did made any difference, b/c you didn’t deserve what the US Constitution guarantees you as an American?
This is none of your business but I have lost somebody special to me to a habitual drunk driver who should not of been allowed on the road.
And I was also accused of taking money from a school fundraiser that I did not take. I know what its like to have somebody think I did something bad that I didn’t do, and it is a terrible feeling. I was very lucky b/c one of the two girls that did take it got scared and ratted out her friend, but there are probably still people in the school that wonder if I had a part in it.

Most people who urge “no second chances” have been given one themselves, and it haunts them.

I spoke with the detective on this case today, I will email him and see if I can get a height/weight.

There ya go, suck on that, Shantae & Bart. That scumbag (and yes he is a first class SCUMBAG) has a list of charges against him a mile long, including a contract hit on his wife, which investigators believe he did himself. Choke on your Constitution, I hope his ass fries for his wife’s death, as well as every other heinous killer who takes after him.

I’m very sorry for the death of your friend, Teecee. I certainly send my prayers & condolences your way.

Tyrone is going on trial today for the murder of Salena.

  11. AB June 25, 2012 / 3:53 pm

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AT HIS TRIAL??? I can’t find anything after he got charged with first degree murder.
