I – yes I, even me – had never heard the expression “pest house” before.

According to my sister, a Drake graduate, the Des Moines PD is too busy not stopping car stereos from being stolen.

No offense, but that is hilarious. It should be on a tshirt. I’m kind of glad I don’t live there though…makes you wonder what they are out there doing.

She and most of the other people who had cars at her dorm in 2002-04 had their driver side windows destroyed and their stereos stolen. She said it was impossible to have an after market stereo in that part of town.

And neither the campus police nor city police would do anything about it.

I bet they could solve it if they would only go back and talk to their witnesses again. Somewhere out there a killer is still hobbling around free.
All right gang, all signs are pointing at me going to the hospital in a few hours, so I won’t be around for a while. take good care and I’ll see ya when I see ya.

Ahh, just hire a psychic, like John Edward, to talk to all the dead witnesses. I can’t possibly see how that wouldn’t work.

Is it just me, or is the Historian lady, Dorothy, sounding a bit wistful for the good old days of pestilence and vice? And what kind of neighborhood has a “pest house”? I never thought of Des Moines as a hot bed for ANY activity…..now you know.

Somewhere, there’s a 100+ year old killer just muttering to himself…..
