More details in Scott Coville case

I found this article that provides more details in the 1988 murder of Scott Coville. His wife, Jane, admitted that she shot him in bed and dismembered his body with an ax. It was probably incinerated. Jane has pleaded to second-degree murder. She could face up to 99 years in prison.

Shooting a guy who’s asleep in bed is COLD.

It takes a special kind of crazy to cut someone up into pieces, don’t you think?

I guess she wanted to make sure she didn’t have a moving target. A person is usually still when they are asleep. Cutting him into pieces with an axe though takes a bit more than the average person usually has. But they were in Alaska. Perhaps she had experence in butchering game.

Did she say why she did it?

I didn’t see anything about motive. Probably the usual reasons — they seem to have had a lot of marital problems.

She’ll probably say it was self defense. Yeah, he was a big threat to her when he was asleep drooling in the pillow.
I hate when women take advantage of the self defense thing. Do they think everybody’s that stupid?

Yes, a lot of times they do. Remember when battered women’s syndrome got real big? EVERYONE used it after that and totally diluted the effectiveness for the people who actually had to fear for their lives. However, I am while I am not surprised about the shooting in the sleep thing (heard that before, both male and female) I am interested in the fact that she dismembered him. You don’t hear about women doing that to often. Maybe some dr. needs to pick her brain.
