Marvin Gibbs found?

I found this article about Marvin Gibbs, who disappeared from New York in 1985, at the age of nineteen. The police don’t have much on Marvin, then or now, and the only photo they’ve got is of poor quality. But they think he may be a John Doe that turned up in West Virginia, in 1986, shot in the head. The problem is they can’t find any relatives to get DNA from. He lived with his mom in 1985, but she’s moved since then. His mom is Jamaican. No mention of the father.

I hope the police track down some of Marvin’s relations and I hope the West Virginia man is him. Otherwise they’re back to square one.

I read the article. It doesn’t seem like he got very far when he was told to get off the bus. It seems like he had his bags packed like he was gonna leave for some time. The Short Line sounds like the Greyhound Bus Lines.

Stacey, My prayers are with you and your family. We grew up together in Fallsburg, I saw the article and it brought back memories. Not to give up hope but if it is Marvin they found, he deserves to be properly remembered. God Bless you and your family.

Looks like a relative was found but the results were never reported. Was there a match?
