Charley mentioned in news article

Someone emailed me this Niles Daily Star article about cold cases in Indiana that mentions Charley about halfway down: “According to The Charley Project, which collects information on missing persons…”

How nice it is that the article actually portrayed my site accurately. Many articles call it an organization or say it tries to solve cases. An organization cannot consist of one person, and I don’t pretend to solve cases, only to catalog them.

You do your part and are quite famous in missing persons circles. If you google the name of a missing person in the U.S., odds are their Charley webpage will pop up.

I wonder when Jaycee Dugard was first recovered, how many news services that rushed to the internet to find out her abducton gleaned their material from her Charley webpage? Probably more than you think.

    You do good work.
