I’m taking a few days off, for several reasons:
1. I am spending some precious time with my boyfriend whom I don’t see enough of these days.
2. I have 13 check-outs from the library, most of them quite thick.
3. I’ve fallen into insomnia again with sticky eyes and sodden brain, and it’s difficult to get much done.
4. I am doing a bit of original, non missing person related historical research for the edification of my brain.
When I think about all the updates I have to do, I feel like Winston Smith did in 1984 during that really rough period at his job. Assignments were shooting out of the pneumatic tube onto his desk by the dozens, and his first task every day was to gather up the pile of them, clear off his desk and try to sort them out. Sometimes I really don’t know how much longer I can keep this up.
enjoy your time with your boyfriend!! good luck with your other stressors. Of course, we’ll miss you and the updates, but take care of yourself so you can come back to us!!
You deserve a break. We’d rather you update every so often than to feel pressured to update everyday and then shut down. Find a pace you are comfortable with. We will be here.
I’m glad you have other interests besides missing persons. I’ve seen what happens to people who have only one thing in their life. It isn’t pretty. Don’t let Charley hold you prisoner to it. Find a balance. I don’t want to see you burn out.
I echo the senitments Taking care of yourself, and your relationhips, issues pertinent over updating a website which that you operate out of the goodness of your soul.
You are appreciated in your efforts. Tend to Meaghan.
Best wishes 🙂

Well Meaghan, I guess it’s about time I mentioned this.
I always thought you were on-the-ball when it comes to updates.
No need to apologize for getting behind on that. You do better than most.
So have yourself some ‘Meaghan time’ and quit worrying about that.
I’m with Justin & the other guys. People with a singular interest do not tend to end up in that great a situation. Balance is essential.
Take as much time as you need and don’t feel guilty for it.
