I can get back into my email, and I changed the password and stuff. And of course no one I know really believed I would have traveled to London overnight without notice, or would have written such a poorly capitalized and punctuated email. God, what a nightmare. My computer got infected with all kinds of spyware and I had a job trying to remove it all.

Yup, should be.
Glad your Gmail is on the road to recovery. Now what they OUGHT to do with the piece of (nevermind) who did this when they catch him is to chain him to his buddies who are busy phishing for Haitian relief money in a similar manner, put them on a cramped, slow boat to Port-au-Prince, and when they get there drag them onto shore, hand out shovels and have fun for about the next three to six months re-enacting the ditch-digging scene from “Cool Hand Luke.”
“See that ditch over thar, boys? That thar’s Boss Keen’s ditch. Them debris sittin’ in it is YALL’S debris. Now, what’s yall’s debris doin’ in Boss Keen’s ditch?”
Heheh. I doubt this was an actual physical person, though. I think it was probably just a virus. Though of course people who create such viruses deserve a place in hell along with the puppy-abandoners.
