A little more on Aleacia Stancil

A Phoenix Police Department detective emailed me about another case and I took the opportunity to ask about Aleacia Stancil. What he told me was unsurprising. Toni Stancil was a crack addict. She reported Aleacia missing after she herself was jailed for something or other. The MP report may have just been a ploy to get out of jail. Then not too many months later, Toni was murdered. The homicide is unsolved. The detective said the case “fell through the cracks” and they’re trying to figure out who “Dee” is and so on, and he hopes Aleacia is being raised by another family.

I can only hope this is true.

So, so, sad. People running sites long after we are gone will have this case.

I wonder whether the baby ever existed at all. The cop said he thought it was possible Toni made the story up to get out of jail. I wonder if Aleacia’s birth has been verified, or could she have just taken a photo of a random baby and claimed it was her own?

Point taken. It would place her in a class of her own but you never know……I don’t know how it is here in the US of A but I was reading abotu a case in AUS that had a lady having a baby, logged in at the hospital but the birth was never “registered” ( I think that is paperwork here) and she’s now under scrutitny for the baby’s death. I know I sent in a whale’s worth of paper for my son, but I was also very, very, tired. They could have sent me home with a seal. And totally OT, but do you know that you have two cases run together on Dec. 1 and 2 in the updates section? 1. Dale W. Hansink/Jason D. Harris. 2. McKenna Rose Henley/ Kelley Louise Howard. They will come up as separate cases but………I think you have a glitch?

I’ve heard about cases where the baby of a drug addict died, and the mother covered up the death because either she didn’t want to be charged in connection with her child’s death, or she was getting public assistance money for the child which would end once it came out the child was dead. I wonder if that is the case here? When she couldn’t produce the child, she came up with the story of leaving the child with some woman. Casey Anthony anyone?

There are plenty of cases where a the child or grandchild of some elderly person covered up the older persons death in order to keep collecting their Social Security checks.
