Another for the ???? Category

I’m writing today’s updates and recorded the case of Wojciech Fudali, who disappeared from Rhode Island last December after a late-night party with friends. Sounds typical on the surface, except that Fudali was stark naked when he vanished. He left his shoes and every stitch of clothing behind. In New England. In December.

This article says, “While police interviewed some of his friends at the East Shore Road house Sunday afternoon, a friend arrived and said he saw Fudali running nude near the Galilee Escape Road around 11:30 a.m. Saturday but did not report it to police.” What’s going on there? If I saw any of my friends running in the buff down the road at any time of year, never mind the dead of winter, I’d probably call 911 on the spot. At the very least I’d be yelling, “Hey! What’s going on? Why are you naked? Are you okay?”

Other articles say Fudali was a “nature lover,” so perhaps he dabbled in nudism before. But being naked in public in suburban Rhode Island IN DECEMBER is not normal, even for nudists.

I think he’s got to be dead. A naked person could not survive more than a couple of hours outside in below-freezing temperatures. What caused him to leave the house in that condition, I wonder? Was he depressed and trying to commit suicide by hypothermia? If so, why didn’t he go off somewhere where no one could see him, not lounge around in public places? Was he whacked out on some kind of drugs or something, did he have a psychotic episode? That poor guy. He had just gotten his college degree, too.

I dunno- I think the “nature lover” might be pushing it a bit for the reason he was nude. I mean I’m a nature lover! I am thinking he was either in bed or showering or about to and someone or something forced him to run for his life. Poor guy.

Perhaps he was on drugs….or maybe someone else drugged him and he was freaking out.

I hear you about calling 911 if a friend was running down the street naked but people have been known to do that.

I know someone who was at his bachelor party (at a bar) and was so intoxicated that his friends dared him to take off all his clothes and walk down the street in the buff. He was up to the challenge and no one called the cops.

Unfortunately a cop happened to be in the area and saw him. He was promptly arrested and they tossed him in a cell without giving him a stitch to wear. They figured they go ahead a humilate him some more…..and it worked.

I’ve heard of the bodies of hypothermia victims being found nude, because of a phenomena called “paradoxical undressing,” in which the victim’s brain begins to shut down and he or she hallucinates that they are in fact hot, not freezing to death. That said, this doesn’t seem to fit – if he was at a party and running around within spitting distance of his friends while completely nude, it would seem to be a party prank gone wrong. Maybe he got lost while out acting the fool and died because he was exposed to the elements for too long?

Yeah, I thought of hypothermia undressing too, but it looks like this guy got undressed INSIDE the house.

Well Ive been to plenty of parties where we dared someone to run naked in our apartment parking lot and they decided to be even crazier and run down the street. And that’s without being heavily under the influence of anything drug or alcohol related. So I can easily derive it being a party prank or dare gone too far and he ended up getting into trouble.

There’s also always that one guy we know who wants to be the weird or wild one to impress the ladies.

I’m thinkin’ too that some drugs were possibly involved here. I mean c’mon, running naked outside in December? Any lakes near where he was runnin’ amok? And what kind of nut job friend does not do anything when they see their friend in that state. Sounds fishy to me.

On a different note; what about the Leslie sisters? 13 & 15, went to a party and poof, gone? Since 1974? What the heck is up with the partygoers? Someone must know somethin. Terrible thing to lose both of your daughters at such a young age and wonder for all these years.

My first thought was a drug-induced situation.

But the fact that it happened at 11:30 am is kinda weird too. And i find it hard to believe the “friends” story. Perhaps he knows more.

A sear friend of mine was found dead, nude and in the snow in MA. He had been taking Kolonopin, and was withdrawing from it. The withdrawl can make one sweat profusly even in the snow. Certain illegal drugs have the same symptons-Ectasy for instance. I am NOT saying he was under the influence, like you, it seems mighty weird. Oh, and I would have called 911 the second I saw him. Shame on the “friend”.

I have known Wojtek since he came to the US from Poland, and I’m an still very close with his parents. It’s absolutely heartbreaking what these two people have to go through everyday not knowing what happened to their son. I keep reading posts that say that something seems fishy about that night and I agree. I just pray that if any one of his friends knows anything they would say something. Anything, send an anonymous letter to the parents, anything. If you know what happen, let them know. please. People have also mentioned before that maybe it was something set up, like he joined a religious cult or something.. Not sure.. but i guess its a possibility. I just hope people read these posts and someone says something.

Why doesn’t anyone suspect the friend was lying?

Looks like he left the house naked on his own accord, many people assume that erratic behavior is the result of either mental illness or substance abuse, however for some it’s simply a matter of incessant or excessive thinking whereby your mind is in overdrive , what seems like a simple black and white situation for most, or not even a matter of concern for others is a matter that is obsessively analyzed by a few . From what I read here and in the Charley site , it seems this poor soul is one of those; he ran out of the house freeing himself from all of life’s burdens (including material obsessions such as clothes -as he perceived it) he was intoxicated by a feeling of liberation and gave himself back to mother nature , either by consciously jumping into the frigid ocean nearby or by carelessly slipping and falling into the same. On the other hand, he could have been just high and or depressed and the result was just the same.

“Incessant or excessive thinking where your mind is in overdrive, what seems like a simple black and white situation for most, or not even a matter of concern for others is a matter that is excessively analyzed” sounds an awful lot like mania, which is a sign of mental illness or substance abuse.
