Sofia Juarez’s mother is dead

I just read an article saying Sofia Juarez‘s mother is dead. Natural causes. She was only 26 years old and she left behind a six-month-old baby and, of course, Sofia, wherever she is.

It may be just my imagination, but I’ve observed that the parents of missing children tend to die young. I wonder if anyone has done a study on this. I would assume it’s related to the stress.

Little Sofia will have been missing for six years next month. There’s very little evidence in her case. That her mother died without ever knowing her fate is just another tragedy in this case.

26 is a very young age to die of ‘natural causes.’ I like to think that parents who die while waiting to hear something of their missing kids will have some kind of revelation as to what happened to their missing children and/or be reunited with them. Just my belief in the ‘higher power’ scheme of things.

Poor woman. To say nothing of her suffering family.

Rest in peace, Maria; you may be reunited with Sofia now…I’d like to think that she’s alive somewhere, but the evidence doesn’t indicate it. Either way, I hope the family can someday have some answers to put their minds at rest.

Was a cause of death given for Maria, by any chance?

No cause of death was given, it just said natural causes. She’d had a baby six months before; perhaps there were some kind of complications.

I just saw a photo of Maria Juarez, I think taken around the time of Sofia’s disappearance. She was very, very overweight. Perhaps diabetes?

I’ve also noticed this exact thing. Grief can do awful things to the human body I suspect.
